7th Grade has been reading and analyzing poems by Maya Angelou.
"Still I Rise" "Alone" "Phenomenal Women"
"Human Family" "Song for the Old Ones" "Caged Bird"
Now they are working in groups...
to create an artistic response to one of her poems
Next week we will shuffle groups,
and they will work with different people
to respond to a different poem

The Making of a Nonexistent Musical
8th graders are working on a soundtrack for
Romeo and Juliet.
It seems to keep getting stalled
by snow days, snow delays, deadlines, and days off,
but the sure-to-be-platinum album will drop soon.
Pop-up Service
This Sunday 12-2 we will be making casseroles
for the homeless served through
St. John's Hospice.
